1 - Open your Power BI report in editing mode.
2) Go to the “View” tab on the top menu.
3) Click on the “Slicer” option from the Visualizations pane.
4) A slicer visual will appear on the canvas.
5) Use the Fields pane to drag and drop the desired field you want to slice by into the “Field” section of the slicer.
6) You can customize the slicer by adjusting the slicer type, formatting, and other settings in the formatting pane.
7) To apply the slicer to other visuals in the report, select the slicer visual, then go to the “Format” pane and enable “Apply to all visuals.”
8) Resize and reposition the slicer visual as needed on the report canvas.
9) To interact with the slicer, simply select the values on the slicer visual, and the other visuals linked to it will adjust accordingly.
10) You can add multiple slicers to your report to enable users to filter data based on different criteria.
11) Consider creating a comprehensive user guide or tutorial for students to understand how to utilize slicers effectively.
