"Exploring Various DBMS Languages"
Different Types Of Dbms Languages
There are primarily three types of languages used in Database Management Systems (DBMS): Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), and Data Control Language (DCL). DDL is used for defining and managing the structure of the database objects such as tables, indexes, and views. DML is used for querying and modifying data within the database, including operations like insert, update, delete, and select. DCL is used for managing user access and control permissions within the database, including operations like granting or revoking privileges. Each type of language plays a critical role in managing and interacting with the data stored in a database efficiently and securely.

1 - SQL (Structured Query Language): SQL is a standard language used for interacting with relational databases. It allows users to access and manipulate data stored in databases through queries. SQL is essential for database management and data retrieval tasks.
2) PL/SQL (Procedural Language/Structured Query Language): PL/SQL is an extension of SQL that enables users to write procedural code blocks within SQL statements. It provides control structures, functions, and procedures for creating more sophisticated database applications.
3) T SQL (Transact SQL): T SQL is a proprietary extension of SQL developed by Microsoft for use with SQL Server. It includes additional features such as error handling, transaction control, and support for stored procedures and triggers.
4) NoSQL (Not Only SQL): NoSQL encompasses a variety of database technologies designed for handling unstructured and semi structured data. NoSQL databases are used for scalability, high performance, and flexibility in managing large volumes of data.
5) MongoDB Query Language: MongoDB Query Language is a powerful query language used with MongoDB, a popular NoSQL database. It supports dynamic queries, indexing, and aggregation operations for flexible data retrieval.
6) Cypher Query Language: Cypher is a query language specifically designed for the Neo4j graph database. It allows users to traverse and query graph data efficiently using graph patterns and relationships.
7) XQuery: XQuery is a query language for extracting and manipulating data from XML documents. It provides powerful features for searching, querying, and transforming XML data, making it essential for XML databases and document oriented systems.
8) RQL (Resource Query Language): RQL is a query language designed for interacting with RESTful web services. It enables users to query and manipulate resources using simple syntax and conventions.
9) Datalog: Datalog is a declarative logic programming language often used with deductive databases. It offers a rule based approach for querying databases and defining complex relationships among data entities.
10) GraphQL: GraphQL is a query language for APIs that allows clients to request only the data they need. It provides a flexible and efficient way to retrieve specific data fields from various sources in a single request.
